Our Software products solve business problems by connecting your organisation to data using a secure 5G Private Network, enabling informed business decisions.
Opient has successfully built a working prototype of an End-to-End 5G Private Network.
The Core Network has been tested on AWS Cloud as a standalone solution proving that the 5G Private Network can indeed be Configured, Managed and Controlled in the Cloud.
A second resilient implementation has also been tested on AWS Cloud called Noah’s Arc (there is two of everything).
Opient is going to offer two core products:
- 5G Private Network in-a-Box for small deployments
- Enterprise 5G Private Network supporting Multi-services
Our Customers will be offered a choice of four deployment options of the 5G Private Network:
- On-Premise, all components are located on-premise for full control.
- Hybrid Cloud, core software components to operate the network are hosted in the cloud and all Customer Data flows remain and traverses the on-premise network.
- Native Cloud, Pay-per-use model with all Software and Data flows going through the cloud.
- 5G Private Network as-a-Service, using Hybrid or Cloud deployment to offer a fully managed service.
Our design principles are based on the 3GPP standards committee principles of Service Based Architectures (SBA), meaning that our software code is transferable to the four different deployment options and can scale to support some very large 5G Networks.
Orchestrator
Management and Orchestration of a deployed 5G Private Network requires the ability to Configure and Control its software Functions.
- This includes the configuration SIMs for the user devices
- The distribution of virtualised/containerised software functions across equipment
- Monitoring of the 5G Private Network to track performance
5G Core Network
Opient has developed a flexible Core Network made up of 5G Core Network, interworking with an LTE (4G) Evolved Packet Core (EPC) to support existing devises in the field.
- The Core Network software is containerised and Virtualised making it easy to deploy and move across the deployed infrastructure.
- Our design architecture allows scaling of the 5G Private Network to grow with your business, in terms of coverage, devices and bandwidth.
- Security is built into our Software modules.
- Our 5G Private Network can be connected to a corporate Network, your applications on the Cloud, and the Internet.
Radio Access Network
Opient has tested its Radio Access Network (RAN) software and simulated transmissions, completing the final part of the End-to-End Solution.
- Opient is able to connect to user’s existing 4G and new 5G devices.
- We provide the SIMs needed to connect the user devices to the Private 5G Network.
- We will support a broad selection of 4G/5G devices such as IoT sensors, Push to talk Radio and tablets.
Network Functions
5G Standards are evolving to support a plethora of service types that enable new Digital Business Services. Each of thee services has its own performance requirements, covering transmission delays and bandwidth requirements. Opient is developing relationships with partners to integrate these services into our list of offered services. These will include:
- IP Multi Media Services (IMS)
- Network Slicing
- IoT specific Services
